Workshop: Grooming and What it Means with Sumita Baines, SignHealth

Sumita Baines from SignHealth will explain Grooming

Grooming is dangerous, and it’s increasing — especially online

Deaf people are often targets for grooming

Grooming is a gradual process — the abuser chooses you as a target and builds a trusting relationship with you.

They may pretend they are in love with you. Then, much later, they ask you for money, scam or abuse you.

Learn to recognise what Grooming is, and how it affects people

Spot the signs of Grooming and if you know anyone who may be a victim
